CAMP APEX Where every camper thrives.
Ages 6-14 (entering 1st grade)
Simply the best outdoor camp in Franklin County! Experienced staff, progressive, age appropriate programming, and curriculum to help close the “summer learning gap” located on one of the finest camp facilities in Franklin County!
At Camp Apex your child will enjoy the wonders of the outdoors. Whether they are swimming in the solar heated pool, enjoying rides down our 160” Tube Slide, riding on the BMX Bike Trail, trying their hand at archery, or just playing sports your child will have a great time making friends, learning skills, and having a fantastic summer. Camp Apex now offers free late care!

Counselors-in-Training (CIT)
2 week sessions • Ages 13-15*
Sessions 1 - 4 only.
Building future camp counselors,
teachers and Y Program Directors.
Our CIT program for teens combines leadership skill-building with counselor training in several areas. CIT’s work hard, but they play hard too! CIT’s receive training in first aid, life skills, camp crafting, team-building, and leading songs and games. CIT’s also learn planning and implementation of group activities as well as skills for enhancing youth character development, and experience first hand the benefits and advantages of volunteerism and community service. The CIT program runs concurrently with the Apex sessions.
Potential CIT’s must complete a volunteer application and
enrollment packet, both available at the Welcome Center. Only 13 participants are selected for each 2 week session.
