Volunteer

Our Y improves the lives of thousands of Franklin County kids, adults and seniors every year. We are grateful to our dedicated members who serve as Ambassadors and/or Volunteers to help us fulfill our mission.

Volunteer AT THE Y!
With a focus on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, Y volunteers give men, women and children of all ages and from all walks of life the resources and support they need to be healthy, confident, connected and secure.

• Raise funds to ensure the Y is accessible to all members of the community
• Coach our sports teams and teach many of our classes
• Motivate and support youth in building character, skills and relationships that lead to positive behaviors, better health, smart life choices and the pursuit of higher education and goals
• Extend a hand to help adults who want to do more, be more or live healthier
• Participate in opportunities to give back and support neighbors

Ways you can give back to our community.

ANNUAL CAMPAIGN

Each year our primary fund raiser is our Annual Campaign, which raises funds to subsidize youth and family programs and provide Sliding Fee Scale support so all families may participate in Y programs. Our goal is to turn no one away from joining our Y. Take part in this incredible team effort
by making a donation or volunteering time in the spring to call potential donors. We want to continue to assist children and families who otherwise cannot participate in our programs.
If you’d like to help, call Tina Newton at 773-3646 Ext. 411.

Community-wide Service Activities

Our Y, our members and staff actively serve Franklin County in ways that improve, strengthen and better the lives of those in need.  We have a Food Drop Program at our facility and we help host “Community Meals” that help feed hundreds of Franklin County families. Our members and staff participate in the annual Relay for Life, sponsor and work in partnership with other community entities to help kids go to camp and receive needed school supplies, and we also participate in other programs with the United Way of Franklin County, Baystate/Franklin Medical Center, local school and other organizations. Call Jayne Trosin 773-3646 ext. 448 on how you can participate and make a difference.

“Kids to Camp” Golf Tournament
July 17th 2017

In the last 14 years, our annual KIDS-TO-CAMP Golf Tournament has raised over $300,000 specifically to provide kids of low and middle-income families with the opportunity to attend the Y’s summer day camps. You can get involved as a volunteer, or by sponsoring, playing, or attending the auction. This event is just one more way the Y is working to help all kids receive the benefits of Y camps.
