Adult Lap Guidelines Senior Lap/Rehab Rules
Water Fitness Class | Level 1
Utilizes the buoyant qualities of the water to enhance physical fitness without putting stress or strain on the joints. This class increases physical strength and endurance. Takes place in the deep end.
Water Fitness Class | Level 2
This class is a fast-paced water aerobic workout incorporating moves such as jumping jacks, cross country skis, jogging, and marching along with some interval work and core conditioning. Participants can work at a pace which is comfortable for them while having a lot of fun! Takes place in the shallow end.
H.A.R.T. | Level 2
Hydro Aerobic Rigorous Training (HART) is a deep & shallow water, intense full body cardio workout. Resistors and bench steps will be used. Yes you can sweat in the water!
Aquacize | Level 2/3
An intermediate level workout that uses the resistance of the water for toning and nonstop movement for a great cardiovascular workout. Swimming skills are not necessary.
Aqua Tabata | Level 3
Fast-paced water aerobic interval workout and core conditioning. Water jogging and intense tabata drills in deep and shallow water.
Aquatic Pilates & Core | Level 2
A 30 or 45 min class that focuses on improving flexibility, balance and movement to strengthen and tone the whole body. Part of this class is conducted in deep water.
Water Therapy I and II
This low-impact class is for anyone who wants to exercise gently in an aquatic environment. The soothing buoyancy and hydrostatic pressure of water make this program ideal for relieving pain, stiffness and fatigue. The water provides gentle resistance to build muscle strength and support joints to encourage free movement. Balance, flexibility, and core strength will be improved.
Adult Lap Swim
Times for adult (15+) Facility Members to swim continuous laps in the pool. Lane designation depends on swimmers present that day and will be assigned by the lifeguard on duty.
Senior Lap Swim / Rehab
Times for senior (age 62+) Facility Members to swim continuous laps in the pool. Lane designation depends on swimmers present that day.
See Pool schedule for days and times. Pool is divided in half to allow Facility Members 15+ to gently exercise on their own.
Beginner Lap Swim/ Open Fitness
Are you ready to make a big change and take your workout to the pool? Step, jump, or dive into our Beginner Lap Swim and Open Fitness! This time is dedicated to those new to lap swim or just wanting time to do their own workouts in the water. Ages 15+. Half the pool will be beginner lap with the other half will be open fitness.
Adult / Teen Swim Lessons
All Levels are offered non swimmers to stroke mechanics. Ages 13+.
Private Swim Lessons for Adults and Kids
All Levels are offered as scheduled by Aquatics Director. Small group lessons also available. To schedule, call Aquatics at 773-3646 x427.

Adaptive Aquatics for Kids
To serve individuals with special needs we offer this program. Each swimmer must be accompanied by family, friend, or volunteer in the locker room and pool. Registration and medical forms are not needed. Funded through the United Way of Franklin County.
Red Cross Lifeguard Training
Learn how to effectively prevent and respond to water emergencies with the American Red Cross lifeguard training. Our courses are designed to arm you with the skills and knowledge to prepare you for a variety of scenarios in and around the water. With our lifeguard training, you will learn how quick response times and effective preparation are vital to being a lifeguard while also understanding the crucial elements in helping to prevent drownings and injuries. Our detailed training includes both testing of hands-on skills as well as comprehension on written tests. The certification, which includes First Aid, CPR and AED training, is valid for two years upon completion and is accepted nationwide. Must attend all classes. 2019 dates to be determined.

Red Cross Lifeguard Re-certification
Lifeguarding review classes are designed to help you update your skills while also extending your certification for another two years. The class offers review, for those whose certification is still valid (or within 30 days of expiring) while allowing you to continue to work without a lapse in verification. Dates to be determined.
