THE ESSENCE OF THE Y
With a commitment to nurturing the potential of kids, promoting healthy living, and fostering a sense of social responsibility, the YMCA in Greenfield ensures that every individual has access to the essentials needed to learn, grow, and thrive.
EVERYONE IS WELCOME
The Y welcomes all who wish to participate and believes that no one should be denied access to the Y based on their inability to pay full price. Through our Y Community Scholarship Program, the YMCA in Greenfield provides assistance to youth, adults, and families based on individual needs and circumstances.
COMMITTED TO OUR COMMUNITY
Determining assistance amounts is handled in a fair and consistent manner. Every Y member receives the same membership benefits, regardless of whether or not they receive financial assistance. Y members can feel confident knowing that they are part of an organization that cares greatly for the well-being of people, and is committed to youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
HOW IT WORKS
All applicants (15+) must pay a $10 non-refundable filing fee. First year members also pay a Health Deposit (price to be determined from percentage of scholarship awarded) which will be refunded after 13 months of continuous membership. This deposit is a one-time fee as long as you stay an active member.
Once approved, arrangements will be made for you to pay your share of the membership fee by bank draft or in 10 monthly installments paid at the Y Welcome Center. If you decide the membership dues are too high for a Family Membership, please consider purchasing Youth Memberships for your children (ages 6 to 14). If you have children younger than 6 they can qualify for a percentage off the Program Associate class fees.
Please allow at least 7 to 14 working days for your application to be processed by the Y to determine eligibility. You will be contacted in writing by the YMCA in Greenfield regarding the status of your application.
To see if you are eligible, fill out an application and mail it or drop it off to the YMCA.
