Exercise Trainer Appointments
YMCA Exercise Trainer staff provide free instruction and ongoing support in each of our adult workout areas. For new members we highly recommend several appointments until you feel comfortable and confident with your new skills. Instruction includes facility and equipment orientation as well as guidance so that you can meet your personal goals. To make an appointment with an Exercise Trainer just stop in at the Welcome Center or call 773-3646 x0.
Work with experienced, certified Personal Trainers who will address your specific needs, while providing motivation, structure, goals and of course, encouragement. Instruction is designed to help you understand the many components of physical fitness and provide a regimen that helps you become more physically and functionally fit. Personal Trainers help to balance appropriate cardio, muscular strength and flexibility exercises regardless of age, ability or fitness condition. Call the Welcome Center to schedule an appointment.
Personal Trainer fees range $40-$60 an hour

Small Group Training
Become stronger, leaner, and faster with the help of a knowledgeable Certified Personal Trainer. The energy of a small group workout will keep you committed, motivated, and on track to reach your fitness goals. Your Personal Trainer will put together a specialized program for your group of 3-6 people. Fee includes one training a week for eight weeks per person.

Healthy Eating Consultations
Nutrition is an important part of preventing and managing
disease, and maintaining your overall health. Registered Dietitian, Vanessa Ames, is committed to helping you reach your personal goals through collaboration, motivation, and compassion; whether it is weight loss or working towards diet changes that will last a lifetime. Individual or family consultations may be scheduled at the Welcome Center.

Basic Strength Training Class
Learn the basics of strength/resistance training with an emphasis on functional skills like; getting out of a chair with no hands, getting up off the floor with no assistance, balance, and improving range of motion. This class is great for beginners or those who like a group environment. Ages 15+. Weight Room is closed while class is in session.
